In the 1970s William Rae started the business as a sole trader doing small contracts for privately owned houses and businesses. As his reputation for quality workmanship grew the Aberdeen City Council began to offer him larger roofing contracts on a more frequent basis, allowing him to expand his company and employ more skilled workers. He currently has a core workforce of 10 fully trained employees including 2 who have been with the company since it started.
10 years ago his son Kevin (a joiner by trade) also joined the company and is now a fully trained operative and director of the company. It is a huge advantage having 2 fully skilled and hands-on directors, both working closely to ensure that every job is completed to the highest standard to meet customer requirements.

Recent Contracts William Rae (Aberdeen) Ltd has worked for the Moray Council, the Perth and Kinross Council, and has recently completed 12 multi-storeys for the Aberdeen City Council valued at over £1 million in total. A roof covering replacement for TCD architects at Norfolk House has also been recently completed at a value of £75,000. Other clients include Fugro and RGB. The scale of these projects indicates how trustworthy and reliable our business is regarded and demonstrates our ability to take on any size of commercial project. As well as large scale projects we also specialise in daily or weekly projects depending on the size of the task at hand. On a frequent basis we do roofing work for houses and small business at very competitive rates. The work can range from small repairs and insurance work to full roof replacements. |
